search expressions
The following examples illustrate the kind of expressions that you can use
to develop a differential diagnosis.
- nausea and vomiting
- headache and backache
- cough sore throat
- blurry vision or (eye strain)
Note
- The search evaluates an
expression from left to right.
- The expressions in parentheses
will be evaluated first.
- Wildcards (asterisks) can
be used only at the end of a word.
- Apostrophes should never
be used in a search.
i.e. Graves' Disease should be searched for by using Graves Disease
- To search for words containing
8 bit characters, use the nearest 7 bit equivalent.
i.e. for resumé, you should use resume
